Please be aware that many entry level pop-up displays feature an auto-lock mechanism that uses a complex, spider-web like structure made from thin aluminum tubing. These spider-web style display frames are prone to failure and actually feel like they’re going to break when you try to pull them apart.
Based on our years of experience, Impact Displays has decided not to sell this type of popup display due to its high failure rate. All of our pop-up displays use an open framework design with thicker tubing and separate locking mechanisms.
The other type of “lock” used on entry level pop-ups is a spring mechanism. The spring doesn’t truly “lock” the frame so you’ll typically have problems getting all your panels to align properly when you hang them. These units also use cheap plastic hanger pins at the top of the frame that are prone to loss and breakage. In addition they typically do not have magnets mounted to the hanging bars. Instead it’s strictly a metal bar which they may deceptively call “magnetized” and forms a much weaker bond to the fabric or mural panels creating issues with hanging and holding their shape. If you see a pop up display selling for less than ours this is what you’re getting. |
